Born in Bordeaux, France, Mickey Yost has over 30 years of experience in hair enhancement, coloring, and cutting.

Yost’s training began in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he became the owner of Shear Distinction Salon. Yost continued his career training at the Redken Academy, and then proceeded on to London to prepare at the Sassoon London Academy. Yost went on to work with Loreal in Paris, France to further his color techniques. Yost received elite training from other world-renowned hair experts and salons including Sebastian, Sam Bracato, Paul Mitchell, Xenon, Rough Cuts of London, and Fredrick Fekkai. After years of this exclusive training, Yost headed to Las Vegas, where he found a home at the Las Vegas Hilton. Yost found his niche in teaching others. He went on to become founder of Yost Studios, where he built a team of the most successful hair colorists in the Las Vegas area. Additionally, Yost has become an educator and distributor for Toni & Guy, involving teaching the latest trends and techniques.
